Development Pipeline

Chakshu Research has recently completed a recent Phase I/II trial to improve vision in patients with cataract, and the FDA has approved a Phase III study for this indication. Planning and scheduling for this trial is currently underway.

Implications for Other Degenerative Ocular Diseases

Because our MOA (Mechanism of Action) alleviates the catalytic role of Fe⁺⁺ and Fe⁺⁺⁺ reactive metal ions and the tissue damage brought about by Ca⁺⁺ binding lipids and proteins, Chakshu’s ophthalmic solution has further implications for other degenerative ocular diseases. Based on recent trials, we are also planning further studies aimed at asteroid hyalosis.
