Management Team
Conveyor of Truth
Communication has always been her forte. Whether it is writing articles, keynote speaking, testifying to Senate subcommittees, meeting with federal and state leaders, enlightening young school children or college students, Paula Johnson has persevered to find the right canvas to paint an accurate work of art.
In fields such as pharmaceuticals, education and technologies, Paula has taken on the task of translating complex thought and issues into clear, fundamental words and imagery. Tapping into her experience as an instructor at the Annenberg School for Communications, she combines her passion for the sciences and arts to weave compelling introductions to projects, companies and programs for the media and public.
It is no surprise that Paula would transition from running her own company of 12 years to join a unique company such as Chakshu, giving her the opportunity to convey a very compelling and important message about the potential to save people’s vision.
Lifework
Before joining Chakshu, Paula was the Founder and CEO of CyberLogix which addressed various modalities for communicating and learning. Prior to that, she held several positions with GTE including Director of Research & Development for educational communications services, Market Segment Director, Marketing and Promotions Manager as well as Manager for Strategic and Market Planning, where she was responsible for developing and publishing GTE’s strategic plans. Before joining GTE, she was an instructor at the University of Southern California where she taught building and managing diverse teams as well as communication theory and technologies as an assistant to her mentor, Fred Williams, the founding Dean of the Annenberg School.
Formal Education
Paula received her Bachelor of Science in Economics from Blackburn College and graduated with her M.A. in Communications Management from the Annenberg School for Communications at the University of Southern California.
